New Application Requirements

The UPMC Schools of Nursing now accept SAT, ACT, and ATI TEAS scores as part of your application. Previous PSB scores will be accepted through June 1, 2016 for the fall 2016 start date. PSB scores will no longer be accepted after June 1.

SAT score of at least a 480 in Math and a 480 in Critical Reading are required.

ACT test scores of at least 18 in English, 22 in Math, 21 in Reading, and 24 in Natural Science.

A PSB test score of at least a 60% or better are required on all four sections of the test: Math, Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, and Natural Science.

In order to be considered for admission, you must score “proficient” on the TEAS test.

St. Margaret School of Nursing

Founded in 1910, the School of Nursing offers a nursing program enabling a graduate to take the NCLEX-RN, the licensure examination to become a registered nurse (RN).

The school of nursing is a commuter school. The  campus is located 1.8 miles from UPMC St. Margaret.

St. Margaret School of Nursing is fully approved by the State Board of Nursing Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.​
