UPMC Children’s Teddy Bear Clinic Event
A trip to the hospital can be overwhelming and scary for kids. UPMC Children’s in Central Pa. wants to help children lessen their fears.
Children aged 4 to 9 (and their teddy bears) are invited to our free Teddy Bear Clinic! Kids are welcome to bring their favorite teddy bear to participate, and we will provide one to each child as well.
There are two sessions available, and registration is first come, first served. Each session will include our pediatric teams performing sutures, taking vital signs, and putting a cast on a teddy bear. Families will also be able to talk to our specialized pediatric team, who transport kids from hospital to hospital by ambulance or helicopter when necessary.
