First Step: Apply for Financial Aid

The first step in applying for aid is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Be sure to add the St. Margaret Nursing School code: 006551.

We award this scholarship, upon completion of the first year of the nursing program, based on:

The Virginia Carpenter Shaw Memorial Nursing Scholarship

The Virginia Carpenter Shaw Memorial Nursing Scholarship intends to encourage excellence among nursing students.

In her honor, we award a generous scholarship during the St. Margaret nursing program based on

  • Clinical excellence
  • Professional conduct

Graduation Awards at St. Margaret Nursing School

We determine graduation awards by the grade point average in the nursing program.

The St. Margaret School of Nursing graduate awards are:

  • Caroline Fisher Award for highest academic achievement.
  • Nancy Ann Brown Award for second highest academic achievement.
  • Dorothy S. Hoehl Award for third highest academic achievement.
