Laboratory
The UPMC Bedford Memorial Laboratory is a modern, fully-equipped facility staffed by well-trained technologists, accredited by the College of American Pathologists, and offers complete diagnostic testing, including:
- Chemistry
- Hematology
- Urinalysis
- Blood Bank
- Serology
- Microbiology
- Histology
- Pathology - Staffed by a full-time pathologist
Laboratory personnel participate in community awareness programs, such as the multiphasic laboratory screening program, and assist with laboratory and drug testing for area employers.
The laboratory is located on the first floor of the hospital immediately adjacent to the Outpatient Registration Area.
Hours of Operation:
- Monday through Friday: 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Saturday: 7 a.m. to noon
