Our expert medical team is made up of physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) with special interests in dermatology. Our board-certified physicians actively conduct research in dermatologic conditions, and have been published in various clinical journals. Our physicians also train the next generation of dermatology experts through the Department of Dermatology’s residency and fellowship programs.
APPs are highly trained health care professionals who are qualified to diagnose and treat illnesses. APPs are important and effective members of our health care team at UPMC. Our APPs are nationally certified and licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and they work in collaboration with or under the supervision of physicians.
