Your Imaging Test Results

Your results will be read on-site by a subspecialty-trained radiologist. This means that an expert with experience in a particular medical specialty will be reviewing your test results and reporting the findings to your physician.

These findings are then sent digitally and securely to your UPMC physician. Non-UPMC physicians can receive test results via email or CD. At your request, we can also provide you with a CD of your images, but this does not include your doctor's medical review of your images.

Your doctor will be in touch with you after he or she has reviewed your results.

Find Your Test Results in Your Patient Portal

Your results will also be available on your patient portal account. If you have not already signed up for a UPMC patient portal, learn how to sign up here and select the portal most relevant to you.

If you have questions regarding your test results you should call your doctor’s office directly.

Make an Imaging Appointment at UPMC

To make an appointment, call the UPMC Imaging center closest to you.

Appointment times vary by the type of test you need.

You do not need an appointment for general x-rays. Walk in for x-rays at the location of your choice with your doctor's order.
