If you have a wound that has not healed by at least 50 percent in four weeks, or has not healed completely in 12 weeks, UPMC Wound Healing Services can help get you on the road to healing.

Chronic wounds can have serious consequences, including amputation, which makes some people suffering from nonhealing wounds reluctant to seek help. We understand those fears, and are experts in limb preservation and the management of serious wounds.

Our experienced specialists work in a cooperative, multidisciplinary environment that allows us to offer patients the latest treatment technologies, including minimally invasive options. With proper treatment, most wound-related amputations can be prevented.​
