UPMC nurses have the opportunity to practice and work at a wide range of facilities, including community hospitals, tertiary hospitals, outpatient clinics, home health care, and assisted-living and skilled nursing facilities. Nurses at UPMC’s hospitals and facilities make a difference in patient lives every hour of every day.

There are 20 hospitals within UPMC. Nurses work with patients from a variety of backgrounds, experiences, conditions, and needs. Specialty and nursing opportunities include oncology, pediatrics, transplantation, medical-surgical, cardiology, trauma and burn, obstetrics, intensive care, research, and rehabilitation.

UPMC also offers outreach and commercial settings for nursing practice. Opportunities are available for nurses to apply their knowledge and experience to make a difference in the health of our patients through our outreach and community settings. Our nurses rely on their clinical knowledge to improve the health of patients.

UPMC’s scope isn’t limited to western Pennsylvania. An array of international opportunities are available at facilities in Ireland and Italy.
