UPMC Advanced Practice Provider Neonatology Residency Program
The UPMC Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Neonatology Residency Program trains certified advanced practice providers in the medical knowledge, critical thinking skills, and procedures in neonatal critical care and newborn medicine.
The program will be expanding with a site at UPMC Hamot for the 2018-2019 program. The AAP residents will attend training at UPMC Hamot as well as the other UPMC facilities in Pittsburgh.
Applicants will be accepted into positions for the site at UPMC Hamot. Please contact the program director, Briana Kost, PA-C, kostb@mail.magee.edu, for more information.
The 12-month training program accepts up to three students per year.
The Neonatology Residency curriculum is a combination of:
- Didactic training
- Clinical rotations
- Neonatal skills training via simulation
- Hands on training through the UPMC Newborn Medicine Program
It will allow you to provide world class clinical care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and help meet the on-going demand for advanced practice providers.
