In January 2011, Lynn M. Rupp was named vice president of Strategic and Operational Performance.

In this role, Ms. Rupp oversees the Strategic and Operational Performance Division, which includes the clinical data systems, strategic planning, and organizational intelligence departments. She also oversees UPMC Hamot's Operational Excellence initiatives, including designing and implementing corporate objectives through strategic planning, cost containment, and productivity. Additionally, Ms. Rupp oversees Neurosciences and Orthopaedics.

Ms. Rupp holds a bachelor's degree in biology. She received her master's in physical therapy from the University of Pittsburgh and her master's in public administration from Gannon University.

Ms. Rupp began her career at Hamot (now UPMC Hamot) as a physical therapist and quickly moved into administration, serving as director of Rehab Services, director of Orthopaedics and director of Neurosciences throughout the years. She is credited with creating the Orthopaedic Institute, the Stroke Program, and the Neurosciences Institute. She represents UPMC Hamot on the Ambulatory Surgery Center Board and the Achievement Center Board.
