Inpatients and same-day surgery patients receive free parking on their day of discharge by presenting their discharge papers to the Main Lobby or Emergency Department cashier.
Patients who are treated in the Emergency Department receive free parking by presenting their discharge papers to the admissions clerk in the Emergency Department.
Patients who are discharged from labor and delivery triage receive free parking by presenting their discharge papers to the Main Lobby or Emergency Department cashier.
Patients who park in the UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital garage are eligible for the following discounted flat parking fee for up to 24 hours per visit:

To receive this discount, pick up your parking discount voucher at the physician office or outpatient unit where you were seen for care. Present your parking ticket along with your discount voucher to the Main Lobby or Emergency Department cashier.
A discounted/free parking rate is available for patients and their families who qualify under the federal government’s limited income guidelines. Proof of income required. To receive the discount, complete the form available at the Security Window, and present to the cashier.
There is no charge to park for members of the clergy or interpreters. To receive free parking, present identification to the parking cashier.

To receive the discount, present your ticket to the Main Lobby or Emergency Department cashier.
After 10 consecutive days, one designated family member qualifies for a discounted parking rate of $4 per day. After 30 consecutive days, one designated family member is eligible for free parking. Contact Social Work at 412-641-4255 for more information.
No access fees
The garage is well-lighted with security cameras located throughout, and is regularly patrolled by UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital Security Officers. Emergency call stations are located on each level.
An underground tunnel connects the Zero Level of the garage to the Zero Level of the hospital, just below the Main Lobby, with easy access to the main elevators.
Patients and visitors have the option of paying the parking Cashier, located in the Main Lobby, or at the automated pay stations located in the Main Lobby and at the Zero Level Tunnel Entrance. Please take your ticket with you after you park, and pay before going to your car. Please note that you must use your ticket to exit within 15 minutes of paying.
While the underground garage entrance is only open from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m., patients and visitors may retrieve their vehicles and exit at any time.
24-hour parking is available on the street level.
