The Stroke Support Group at UPMC St. Margaret offers education, support, and resources for individuals and families who have been affected by a stroke.

Prompt treatment is crucial to minimize brain damage and potential complications after a stroke. UPMC Stroke Institute at UPMC St. Margaret is the only certified stroke center right in your community.

We provide you with local access to an acute stroke team with physicians and nurses experienced in diagnosing and treating cerebrovascular disease which can lead to stroke.

UPMC St. Margaret recently received the Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Gold Plus Achievement Award from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association.
