
Direct Energy Brings Winter Carnival Atmosphere to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC
WHAT: Direct Energy will host its second annual winter carnival, “Afternoon on the Midway,” for patients and families at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC.
Activities include “Bob the Juggler” entertaining patients and families by juggling while walking on stilts and “Dr. Dan,” a clown doctor with a wide repertoire of magic tricks. Also, for the second year in a row, Children’s Hospital Public Safety officers will participate in a pie-throwing contest. Other activities include carnival games and prizes, crafts, face painting, caricature artists, free Rita’s Italian Ice and funnel cakes.
The event is made possible by the employees at Direct Energy, who have donated more than $10,000 to Children’s over the past year.
