Brian Feingold, MD, MS, FAHA

 

Dr. Feingold’s research focuses on pediatric heart failure and pediatric heart transplantation, including the use of non-invasive alternatives to routine surveillance biopsy.

He earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh and went on to complete his internship and residency in pediatrics at the University of Massachusetts.  Dr. Feingold then returned to Pittsburgh to complete his fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Heart Failure and Transplantation at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. He also holds a Master of Science in Clinical Research from the University of Pittsburgh.  Dr. Feingold is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Heart Association and has published over 70 peer-reviewed manuscripts.

He has served as Associate Editor of Pediatric Cardiology and on the Editorial Board of Pediatric Transplantation.  He has served as an investigator/co-investigator on several National Institutes of Health and National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute grants and as the principal investigator on multiple clinical trials.  Dr. Feingold is a past chair of the Scientific Council on Pediatric Thoracic Transplantation and Heart Failure for the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation and is the current chair of the Pediatric Heart Failure and Transplantation committee, Council on Lifelong Congenital Heart Disease and Heart Health in the Young for the American Heart Association – a leadership term he will hold until 2022. He serves on the scientific and medical advisory boards of the Barth Syndrome Foundation and Enduring Hearts.
