As the director of the UPMC Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center, which is the oldest and largest of its kind in the region, Dr. Wong leads a multi-disciplinary team in providing comprehensive care that includes diagnosis, genetic counseling, advanced medical therapy and septal reduction therapy. The center’s team also provides access to novel drug therapy through clinical trials, many of which Dr. Wong serves as the principal investigator.

Dr. Wong received his medical degree and completed his internal medicine training at New York University School of Medicine. He then completed a cardiovascular disease fellowship followed by an advanced cardiac imaging fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
