Autism Through the Lifespan: Passavant Hospital Foundation Partners with WPIC and Other Autism Leaders to Present Two-Day Conference

WHAT: Two-day conference focusing on autism. Families, community members and medical professionals are invited to learn about the latest autism-related research, education and local services.

WHO: Passavant Hospital Foundation, AHEADD (Achieving in Higher Education with Autism/Developmental Delays), Autism Speaks, Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic of UPMC, ABOARD (The Advisory Board on Autism and Related Disorders) and the Watson Institute

WHEN: Participants are welcome to attend one or both of the following sessions:

  • 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., Wednesday, April 13, Diagnosis to Adolescence
  • 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Thursday, April 14, Adolescence through Adulthood

WHERE: Passavant Hospital Foundation, UPMC Passavant, 9100 Babcock Blvd., North Hills

WHY: Autism spectrum disorders (including autistic disorder, pervasive developmental disorder and Asperger’s Disorder) affect about one out of every 150 children. This conference will provide a wealth of information on all aspects of autism, plus continuing education credits, through a partnership of medical centers, centers of autism research and services, universities and other providers of services that are involved in the treatment and care of children, adolescents and adults living with ASD.
