Karaoke Competition to Raise Money for Copeland Burn Fund at UPMC Mercy

WHAT: The UPMC Mercy Trauma and Burn Center is sponsoring a karaoke competition to raise funds for the Charles E. Copeland Burn Fund
WHO: Mercy employees, staff, karaoke-loving members of the public
WHEN: 7 to 10 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012
WHERE: Buckhead Saloon, 225 Station Square, Pittsburgh, Pa., 15219
WHY: UPMC Mercy Trauma and Burn Center invites the public to join in a night of fun and fundraising at this karaoke competition to raise money for the Charles E. Copeland Burn Fund.
The fund was created in 1987 by Charles Copeland, M.D., founder of the Burn Center at UPMC Mercy. At that time, members of the local community raised funds to support burn victims at the hospital. Now, the Copeland Burn Fund is supported mostly by community-based events, assisting underinsured and uninsured burn patients and families with medical expenses and supplies. The fund supports the mission of the Burn Center including research, equipment, renovation, program development and community education about burns and fire safety.
To register, contact UPMC Mercy Trauma and Burn Services at 412-232-8375 to obtain a participation form.
