Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC and Magee-Womens Foundation to Host Women’s Cancer LiveWell Survivorship Workshop

What: A workshop presented by UPMC Health Plan for women’s cancer survivors focused on managing change and exploring next steps after undergoing treatment
Who: More than 100 cancer survivors are expected to attend. Speakers include Drs. Gretchen Ahrendt, Ellen Beckjord, Thomas C. Krivak, Barry Lembersky, Priscilla McAuliffe, Alexander Olawaiye, Mary Peterson, Shannon Puhalla, Josie van Londen, Kristin Zorn & Ms. Sue Weldon
When: Media may attend from 3:30 to 4 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012
Where: Doubletree by Hilton, 101 Mall Blvd., Monroeville, PA 15146
Why: Experts will lead conversations with cancer survivors focused on dealing with menopause and life changes associated with cancer, what's on the horizon for individualized treatment, recurrence, and research updates, as well as a special survivor's story.
This event is co-sponsored by Amgen, AstraZeneca, Genentech, National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, Pittsburgh chapter, and the Pittsburgh affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
