UPMC Celebrates Community Inclusion Partnerships, Emphasizing ‘We’re All in This Together’

WHAT: A celebration and award ceremony for community partners who embrace and support engagement and inclusion, which means every person is valued and appreciated, in the workplace and in the community.
WHY: The UPMC Center for Engagement and Inclusion’s mission is to ensure that inclusion is at the core of what we do every day. A partnership consisting of UPMC leaders, employees, councils and community partners strive to make a positive difference in the lives of all the people UPMC employs and serves, thus the sentiment that “We're all in this together.”
This ceremony will recognize honorees for sharing, supporting and demonstrating that commitment to inclusion.
• Master of Ceremonies: Lynne Hayes-Freeland, KDKA TV-News reporter and producer/ host of “The Lynne Hayes-Freeland Show,” a weekly program that focuses on local African-American issues
• Candi Castleberry-Singleton, Chief Inclusion and Diversity Officer, UPMC
• Greg Peaslee, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources and Administrative Services Officer, UPMC
• Greg Spencer, vice chair, UPMC Board Inclusion and Diversity Committee
