About Research Day
The Aging Institute Research Day is an annual opportunity for researchers and clinicians from the University of Pittsburgh, UPMC, Carnegie Mellon University, Duquesne University, Robert Morris University, and other academic institutions to socialize, network, and view posters that showcase the latest in aging research.
The event occurs each year in the spring and is held on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh.

Poster Abstract Submissions
A poster session is a graphic presentation of authors' reports.
The authors illustrate their findings by displaying graphs, photos, diagrams, and descriptive text on the poster boards. Discussions are held with registrants who are viewing the boards. Many authors find it helpful to present a brief introduction to answer questions and allow the remainder of the time for more in-depth discussions.
Authors must remain with their poster presentations throughout the day.
If handouts accompany the poster, the author should bring approximately 75 copies that highlight contact information.
No audiovisual equipment is permitted for poster presentations.
Poster Abstract Categories
Research Poster Abstract
Research poster abstracts may focus on any aspect of aging. The research may be original or replicated studies.
Quality Improvement Poster Abstract
A Quality Improvement poster abstract may be the result of an organizational process that when applied to the field of aging achieves a desired outcome or meets or exceeds a benchmark for a standard of geriatric practice.
