​Conditions We Treat at the Division of Internal Medicine

Our internal medicine physicians are specially trained to provide primary care for adult patients. They can provide treatment for most diseases and conditions in adults, including:

  • Skin disorders
  • Allergies, sinusitis, and pharyngitis
  • Lung disorders, including:
    • Asthma
    • Emphysema
    • Chronic bronchitis
  • High blood pressure, high cholesterol, coronary artery disease, and congestive heart failure
  • Gastroesophageal reflux (GERD), ulcers, and infectious diarrhea
  • Urinary tract infections, urinary incontinence, and kidney stones
  • Men’s health concerns, including:
    • Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)
    • Erectile dysfunction
  • Women’s health concerns, including:
    • Anxiety
    • Depression
  • Arthritis and other joint and bone disorders and injuries

Internal medicine physicians may treat conditions or refer patients to a specialist for treatment. An internal medicine physician can provide treatment or a referral for nearly every condition.
