At UPMC Center for Sports Medicine, our orthopaedic surgeons and board-certified physical therapists specialize in the treatment and prevention of sport-related injuries.
Sports Medicine draws its faculty from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, including nationally and internationally recognized specialists in orthopaedic surgery, physical medicine, physical rehabilitation, and family practice.
UPMC’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery offers patients a wide range of specialty services, uses innovative techniques, and conducts vital research; including the Center for Sports Medicine’s Neuromuscular Research Laboratory, designed for the study of injury prevention and treatment, human movement, and athletic performance enhancement.
