According to our research, one in 10 high school athletes who play contact sports will suffer a concussion this year.

Fortunately, our knowledge about concussion has grown since we began treating patients in 2000. And so have our services for assessing and treating concussions for athletes and nonathletes alike.

News and Events

In January 2012, the Sports Concussion Program moved into a newly constructed wing at the UPMC Center for Sports Medicine. The 3,500-square-foot space is devoted to concussions in all levels of athletics, and all ages of patients. Learn more about our concussion program.
