Under the Sea Children's Ball

UPMC Children’s Ball

Dive right in and swim this way for the 22nd annual UPMC Children's Ball! Children, parents, grandparents, and friends will have a whale of a good time as they embark on this undersea adventure. Guests will get to meet some cute undersea creatures, learn about marine life, sing and dance, show their artistic side, and interact with special guests as we transform Heinz Field into our own underwater extravaganza! The event will also feature strolling performers, delicious food, under-the-sea-themed entertainment, and balloon artists.

Beneficiary: The Matilda H. Theiss Child Development Center

Proceeds from the 2018 UPMC Children’s Ball benefit the Matilda Theiss Early Childhood Behavioral Health Program at the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic of UPMC. For over 40 years, Matilda Theiss has served as the cornerstone of early childhood mental health services at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic and offers a variety of vital programs to promote the health and well being of pediatric clients and their families. Due to the high demand for our early childhood mental health services, these programs have expanded and grown throughout Allegheny County and beyond, providing early childhood mental health and trauma treatment that is currently only available from the Matilda Theiss programs.
