UPMC Hamot is looking for an exceptional neurointerventionalist to join our team at Great Lakes Neurosurgery and Neurointervention in Erie, PA.
The ideal candidate has completed a neurointerventional fellowship and is board certified or board eligible.

Complex stroke and cerebrovascular care at UPMC Hamot is comprised of a full complement of specialists including stroke-trained neurologists, neurohospitalists, vascular neurologists, neurosurgeons, and neurointerventionalists. Together, these specialists treat the comprehensive needs of patients using a collaborative approach.
UPMC Hamot’s neurointerventional specialists offer minimally invasive, neurovascular care for stroke of all complexities, as well as treatment for various other conditions, including:
- Aneurysm (intracranial) arteriovenous malformation/fistula
- Cavernous carotid fistula
- Carotid occlusion
- Extracranial/intracranial vascular disease
- Sinus thrombosis
Treatments offered include:
- Aneurysm coiling and clipping
- Tumor embolization
- Intra/extracranial stenting
- Image-guided microsurgery
- Venous stenting
- Carotid endarterectomy
- Angioplasty and stenting
- Clot removal using catheters and antibiotics, and anticoagulation drugs
- Intra-arterial thrombolytic treatment
- Mechanical thrombectomy

The Stroke Center at UPMC Hamot is accredited by the Join Commission, having achieved Primary Stroke Center status in 2007, and subsequently maintains Advanced Primary Stroke Center certification.
