Early Intervention (EI) at Safe Harbor Behavioral Health of UPMC Hamot

The most vital time to detect and treat developmental delays in children is during the earliest possible stages of development. EI services help meet the needs of infants and toddlers who may be at risk for delays in their development.

The program is a family-centered approach to arranging services for the child while helping parents understand and enhance their child's development.

Safe Harbor Behavioral Health of UPMC Hamot provides assessment for families seeking EI services.

To start receiving EI services from other providers, we first must:

  • Complete a thorough and independent assessment to detect developmental delays in your child.
  • Suggest follow-up care and EI services.

If you're seeking EI screenings and services, call 814-878-1640 — Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
