“Our role as a specialized tertiary hospital has grown as we continue to regionalize our clinical and community services by sharing programs, resources, technology, physician specialists and other expertise with UPMC Northwest, WCA, Kane Community Hospital, and others throughout UPMC,” added Fiorenzo.
UPMC Hamot also teaches tomorrow's health professionals through a strong residency program and relationships with area universities to provide hands-on training to future registered nurses and pharmacists.

UPMC Hamot, one of the region’s top employers, has a powerful effect on the local economy with a total economic impact of nearly $555 million.
