
UPMC East Alive and Well Series Presents ‘Addiction: A Treatable Disease’
WHAT: Free educational session discussing the effects of addiction on physical, mental and spiritual health. This program will help people understand treatment options and recovery from addiction. UPMC East’s recovery peer specialist will be available for private consultations. In addition, local recovery support groups will be there to meet and talk with those seeking support.
WHY: Addiction is a chronic illness, but treatment and recovery is possible. No single treatment approach is perfect for all patients, so showing those seeking help all their options helps ensure a successful recovery. UPMC is committed to providing top-quality treatments for those struggling with addiction.
