Dedicated Member Services Team for Transgender Members
UPMC Health Plan is committed to assisting all members, including those in the Transgender community, to fully understand their benefits, to access services, and to live a healthy life. We make certain our members in the Transgender community have access to award-winning member services support dedicated to explaining Transgender coverage and answering questions about related issues. The goal of UPMC Health Plan’s Dedicated Member Services Team for Transgender Members is to provide access to the most appropriate and effective care for our members in the Transgender community.
UPMC Health Plan’s Dedicated Member Services Team for Transgender Members includes individuals specifically trained to provide member support from a variety of departments, including the following:
- Customer service
- Care management
- Medical policy
Not only do team members provide answers to coverage or provider-related questions, for example, but they serve as a referral service to community resources for the Transgender community.
