Giant cell tumor of bone, or GCT, is a benign (noncancerous) bone tumor.
Giant cell tumor of bone most often occurs around the:

Giant Cell Tumor of Bone Risk Factors
There are no known risk factors of giant cell tumor of bone.
It generally occurs spontaneously in young adults, between the ages of 20 and 40.
Giant Cell Tumor of Bone Symptoms
Symptoms of giant cell tumor include:
- Joint pain in the area of the tumor
- Difficulty with sports or recreational activities
- Swelling
Giant Cell Tumor Treatment
While not cancerous, giant cell tumor is very aggressive.
