Disability Aids Program

About Us

An important element of the Living-At-Home Program is our Grandma’s Attic project, which is a supply of disability aids that is maintained for eligible program participants in need of extra assistance. These aids include pill boxes, medication safes, bathtub benches, bathtub grab bars, raised commodes, and “reachers,” which are devices to enable elders to safely grasp out-of-reach items from the floor or a high shelf.

Disability aids help seniors navigate their homes more safely and avoid possible injury or permanent impairment as a result of injuries related to falls or medication errors.

There is currently no sustained funding source for this project and generous contributions would help to fill this void.
