UPMC Sports Medicine Comeback Player of the Year

UPMC Sports Medicine has partnered with Positive Athlete Pittsburgh to present the UPMC Sports Medicine Comeback Player of the Year Award.

We give this award to a high school athlete for setting a good team example after returning to their sport from injury.

Chosen by peers, coaches, or community members, these positive high school athletes display:

  • Courage
  • Determination
  • Positivity in the face of adversity

The winner will also receive a $1,000 college scholarship at the annual Positive High School Athlete Awards ceremony.

Nominate a Comeback Player of the Year

Nominate a positive Pittsburgh high school athlete for any of the following sports:

  • Golf
