Supporting Our Patients and Families

Donor support funds patient and family needs and opportunities that fall outside the scope of insurance coverage. It also funds community outreach in the form of education about end-of-life care and bereavement resources for those experiencing loss.

Your Lucky Days Raffle

Family Hospice invites you to take part in the “Your Lucky Days Raffle.” This raffle supports the mission of Family Hospice to provide compassionate, quality, comfort care that enhances the lives of people with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

Participating players will be eligible to win daily. The winning period of play is Sept. 1 through Sept. 30, 2024. Winning numbers will be determined by the 7 p.m. drawing of the Pennsylvania EVENING
Pick 3 and must be hit ‘straight’.

Prizes and cash payment will follow the calendar below. Each participating player will receive a copy of the calendar along with their assigned or pre-selected numbers, based on availability. Numbers will only be sold once.

  • $5,000 in prizes will be awarded between Sept. 1 and Sept. 30. Daily winners will receive winnings by Visa Gift Card. Sept. 30 winner will receive $2,500, via check less taxes.
  • Only 1,000 chances/numbers offered (000-999).
  • NO DUPLICATE numbers will be sold.

Cost of chances

  • $30 — 1 chance is equal to 1 individual Pick 3 number
  • $50 — 3 chances are equal to 3 individual Pick 3 numbers
  • $100 — 5 chances are equal to 5 individual Pick 3 numbers

You may purchase as many chances as you like.

Chances and Pick 3 numbers are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If no selection is made you will be assigned a number(s). Prizes and cash payment will follow the calendar as displayed.

The Family Hospice Foundation

The Family Hospice Foundation meets the needs of patients and their families through grants, gifts, and donor-supported specialty funds. When directed to the General Fund, benefactor dollars have the broadest impact.

You may also choose to direct your contribution toward a more specific purpose via these established specialty funds:

  • Angels On Call Fund provides tangible resources for patients and families in financial distress
  • Bereavement Fund supports grief programs and memorial services
  • Carol Sayers Vockel Fund educates the community and volunteers about end-of-life care
  • Imagine Harmony Fund allows patients final special life experiences 

You may also consider Planned Giving (will/bequest, stocks and bonds, IRAs, real estate or trusts) or an ongoing financial commitment through our Giving Society.
