UPMC/Pitt Physician and Scientist Peer Coaching

The Physician and Scientist Peer Coaching Program, sponsored by Physician THRIVE was developed for UPMC physicians and Pitt scientists.

During the UPMC Physician and Pitt Scientist Peer Coach training, physicians and scientists learn coaching principles and techniques.

Certified UPMC physician and Pitt scientist peer coaches use coaching principles to develop collaborative partnerships with their coachees (peer physicians and scientists) as they guide their coachees to achieve their personal and professional goals.

Please note: At this time, this program is only for UPMC physicians who have completed their clinical training and Pitt PhD faculty.

Study Participation
We will be conducting a study on how involvement in the coaching program impacts well-being. The study entails completing two surveys (one at the beginning of the coaching relationship and one six months into the coaching relationship) as well as a 30-minute Zoom interview. Study participants will be compensated for their time.
