Job shadow opportunities are available at UPMC Passavant's hospital campuses in McCandless and Cranberry to students who would like to follow a health care professional for up to 16 hours. To participate in the UPMC Job Shadow Program, you must be at least 15 years of age or older and interested in exploring health care careers.

The Education Department staff will consult the appropriate department manager prior to the start of the externship.
After approval, the student is supervised by the department manager or a health care professional, dependent upon the type and nature of the experience.
