Externship opportunities are available at UPMC Passavant's hospital campuses in McCandless and Cranberry for students who attend a college or university that has an active student experience agreement with UPMC Passavant.
All students who are hoping to utilize UPMC Passavant to fulfill externship hours must complete the following:
Students are responsible for turning in the above paperwork/documentation to their appropriate school official.
The school will then return the Student/Faculty Competency Verification Form for Externship form to:

Please call 412-748-6978 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The Education Department staff will consult the appropriate department manager prior to the start of the externship.
After approval, the student is supervised by the department manager or a health care professional, dependent upon the type and nature of the experience.
