Getting to the Campus
Parking
For the convenience of patients and families, UPMC Mercy has an indoor parking garage across the street from the hospital. Entrances are located on Locust Street and Forbes Avenue. From the garage, take the elevators to Level D (the yellow level). Enter the hospital through the foot bridge.
Handicapped parking is available in all parking areas.
Valet parking is available for patients and visitors upon request at the main entrances to UPMC Mercy (Buildings D and E) between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. weekdays and at regular parking rates. Please see the parking attendants on duty.
Special parking rates are available for immediate family members of patients admitted to the hospital for a long stay. Please contact the Security Office at 412-232-7998 for more information.
Limited free parking is available outside the Emergency Department entrance for UPMC Mercy Emergency Department patients. Please tell security personnel in the Emergency Department waiting room that your car is there so it won’t be ticketed or towed.
Outdoor parking is available on Locust Street at Marion Street, and on Forbes Avenue at Pride Street. Limited metered parking is available on Stevenson Street and in the 1400 and 1500 blocks of Forbes Avenue.
Public and Private Transportation
Public transportation from downtown Pittsburgh to UPMC Mercy is available on the Port Authority of Allegheny County bus routes 61, 71, 500, and 84C. There are stops within a one- to two-block radius of the hospital.
