Our goal is to provide prompt intervention to shorten your wait time so you can get back to enjoying life with your family and loved ones.
Conditions
If you have been diagnosed with one of the following conditions, we can help you prepare for your treatment journey.
Aortic valve stenosis is a narrowing of the aortic valve. The aortic valve allows blood to flow from the heart's lower left chamber (ventricle) into the aorta and to the body. Stenosis prevents the valve from opening properly, forcing the heart to work harder to pump blood through the valve. This causes pressure to build up in the left ventricle and thickens the heart muscle.
The aorta is the large artery that carries blood from the heart to the rest of the body. Dilated or enlarged areas in the wall of the aorta are called aortic aneurysms. These are typically discovered on an echocardiogram or chest imaging, such as a CT scan or MRI. Aortic aneurysms are usually asymptomatic and can grow over time. Depending on the size, the aneurysm may be at risk for tearing (aortic dissection) or rupturing, which can be life-threatening.
Mitral valve regurgitation is leaking of the mitral valve. The mitral valve is a one-way valve that allows blood to flow from the upper left chamber of the heart to the lower left chamber of the heart. Mitral regurgitation occurs when the valve leaflets do not close properly and blood leaks back into the heart’s left upper chamber. This leakage compromises the normal flow of blood and makes it harder for the heart to work properly.
