WHAT:

At 95 years young, Adela Damiani Costanza has published her autobiography, Seeing Through the Smog…Clearly! She will be signing copies of her book for friends, family and fellow residents at Strabane Trails Village, the UPMC Senior Community where she resides.

WHY:

A native of Donora, Pa., Mrs. Costanza experienced hardships growing up during the Great Depression. After going through personal tragedy during the Donora Smog of 1948, she and her husband started fresh with their family in Florida, where the national and international historic events of the last six decades continued to impact her life. Mrs. Costanza credits her long life to her strong faith, and now Costanza reflects on and shares her memories through her book.
