The Center for Integrative Medicine at UPMC Shadyside is the first hospital-based center in Pittsburgh to combine natural healing practices with conventional medicine.
"Integrative medicine" refers to the incorporation of evidence-based complementary therapies into conventional treatments for patients.
Integrative medicine is meant to work in conjunction with traditional medicine, providing a more holistic approach to healing — mind, body, and spirit.

Schedule of Yoga Classes on Wednesdays as of Fall 2023
These are semi-private classes – max. 5 persons
- 11:00 am to 12:30 pm Intermediate 1 YOGA
- 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm Beginner 2 YOGA
NOTE:
- There are 2 places available in Intermediate 1 class
- There is 1 place available in Beginner 2 class

Description of Classes
- Intermediate 1 Class is for those who have achieved some proficiency in yoga postures & are interested in deeper aspects of Yoga Science: pranayama & asanas are more challenging, basic philosophy and yoga life style are explored.
- Beginner 2 Class is for those who have completed Beginner 1 Classes (not offered at the Center at the present) and requires ability to work on the matt & on the floor with ease; some flexibility and strength, & fair balance are needed.
The Fee for 4 classes is $69.00 paid in advance (no refund for missed classes).
One may Drop-In to any Class, if there is space, @ a fee of $24.00/class.
