Ear infections are caused by viruses and bacteria, and they can effect children or adults.

Symptoms of ear infections can include:

  • Ear pain
  • Possible fever
  • Loss of hearing 
  • Fluid leaking out of the ear

How are Ear Infections Diagnosed?

Ear infections can be diagnosed by a doctor who uses a special tool to look at the eardrum of the possibly infected ear.

How are Ear Infections Treated?

Ear infections are treated in different ways depending their cause. In some cases, antibiotics are used to treat ear infections.
