Jane Clougherty, MSc, ScD

Dr. Clougherty’s research interests include understanding the combined health effects of social stressors and air pollution exposures, and improving epidemiological analyses of health effects through fine-scale air pollution exposure assessment.

Dr. Clougherty is a member of Pitt Public Health’s Educational Policies and Curriculum Committee, Environmental Health Perspectives Editorial Board, and the Graduate Student Selection and Advisory Committee. In addition, she belongs to the International Society for Environmental Epidemiology and the International Society for Exposure Science.

She graduated in 1997 from the University of Chicago with degrees in economics and environmental studies. Dr. Clougherty obtained her Master’s in geography (environmental health sciences) from McMaster University in 1998. In 2006, she graduated from the Harvard University School of Public Health as a Doctor of Science from the Exposure, Epidemiology and Risk Program.
