Dr. Braun’s clinical and research interests include surgical management of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, reconstruction of facial deformities and obstructive sleep apnea surgery.
Among Dr. Braun’s many honors are appointments to fellowship in the American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, and International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Braun has served as president of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Western Pennsylvania Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Pennsylvania Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and Great Lakes Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He also served as chair of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Foundation for two years.
He received both his dental degree and his master’s degree in pharmacology in 1973 and his doctorate in anatomy in 1977, all from the University of Pittsburgh.
