PITTSBURGH – Many ring in the New Year with champagne, but Nakita and Daniel celebrated by bringing a new life into the world. Carsyn made her debut at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital at 12:55 a.m., crowning her the first UPMC Pittsburgh baby of the year.

The little girl weighs 7 pounds, 1 ounce and is 21 inches long. The family is looking forward to spending more time with their newest bundle of joy.
