McKeesport, Pa. UPMC Wound Healing Services at UPMC McKeesport has relocated to a new location. This newly renovated clinic offers expanded exam space and convenient access for patients. The practice, which is now located at suite 662 on the sixth floor of the Mansfield Tower at UPMC McKeesport, has been delivering wound care treatment for the past 14 years.

This state-of-the-art office is double the size of the previous location, offering eight  exam rooms and an expanded waiting area. Increasing the size of the location offers the potential to provide expanded access to this important service, which has experienced an increase in demand and patient volumes in recent years. The new location also offers space for the McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine, which provides increased access to clinical research and trials for patients using this space.

“With the increase in volume of patients requiring this service, we knew we could serve even more community members if we moved to a larger, more accessible space,” said Joseph Vermilya, senior director of operations at UPMC McKeesport and UPMC East. “This new space allows for additional providers to be onsite and doubles the number of patients that can be seen at any one time.”

UPMC Wound Healing Services at UPMC McKeesport offers advanced wound treatment to adults with chronic and non-healing wounds. The center currently treats approximately 5,000 patients annually and that number is expected to grow.

“The treatment options in wound care continue to advance and we are so fortunate to be able to offer this level of care right here in McKeesport,” said Jessica Sciulli, D.P.M., medical director, UPMC Wound Healing Services at UPMC McKeesport. “This new space will ensure that we are able to treat as many people as possible.”

“The expansion of UPMC Wound Healing Services at UPMC McKeesport is a great example of the commitment of UPMC to address the most prevalent health care needs in the communities it serves,” said Marc Cordero, M.D., vice president of medical affairs at UPMC McKeesport. We are proud to be investing in the McKeesport community to provide expanded access to this important service.
