WHAT: Families at the UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) will receive special gifts from the March of Dimes to help babies celebrate their first Christmas, Hanukkah or Kwanzaa. Members of the Western PA Young Professionals Board will deliver holiday stockings/gift bags to bring comfort and support to those going through a difficult time this holiday season.

 

WHY: Magee’s NICU cares for more than 1,800 ill and premature newborns each year, making it one of the largest and busiest NICUs in the country.

 

The March of Dimes offers NICU Family Support® to educate families and health care providers and improve the NICU experience for more than 50,000 families each year.
