Starting Friday, Feb. 10, UPMC will be accepting applications for the free nurse aide training course offered at The Green Home, a part of UPMC Senior Communities, located at 37 Central Ave., Wellsboro.
This paid, intensive seven-week training program provides prospective nurse aides the opportunity to spend three weeks in classroom-based training, and then transition to a four-week orientation at The Green Home. Participants actively learn the skills and knowledge needed to become a nurse aide while earning an income and are guaranteed a position with The Green Home upon successful completion.
Enrollment is open until Thursday, March 9. Classes for this upcoming session run from Friday, April 10 to Wednesday, May 1.
