The Green Home and The Laurels to Join WeCare Centers

WELLSBORO, Pa. – On February 1, pending regulatory approval, The Green Home and The Laurels in Wellsboro, which are part of UPMC, will join WeCare Centers as WeCare at The Green Home and WeCare at The Laurels. This change is designed to strengthen long-term care services for local residents while ensuring a smooth transition for residents and team members.

We are confident that residents, families, and staff will benefit as WeCare expands their operations to Wellsboro, a move which ensures long-term care services remain strong in the community.”

WeCare Centers specializes in senior living and long-term care, operating communities across Pennsylvania and New York, including several former UPMC facilities in Southwest Pa. They plan to retain all eligible staff helping ensure continuity for both employees and residents.
