Understand How the Changes Impact You

Starting Sept. 27, 2025, you will use the new portal to message your providers, schedule appointments, and review test results. Select the portal you currently use to learn more about how to navigate this transition:

How to Prepare: Confirm Your Contact Information

Over the course of the portal transition, you will receive detailed instructions on how to activate your new portal account. Confirming your email address and phone number allows UPMC to send you important information you need during this time.

If you have proxy access for any other UPMC patients, verify that their email address and phone number are also up to date.

Access your current portal information from the dropdowns above to confirm that your contact information is up to date.

UPMC is updating its patient portal in phases. Each update is designed to improve your portal experience, and provide more connected care across the UPMC system.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this transition. We'll keep you informed and notify you when it's time to take any next steps with your account.

There is no other action for you to take at this time. UPMC will provide detailed steps when your new portal account is ready.

Do You Receive Care in Multiple Regions?

If you currently use MyUPMC or MyCHP for care you receive in Southwest Pa., you may temporarily need to use more than one portal to access your providers. This is because not all UPMC providers are transitioning to the new portal at the same time.

  • For providers in Central Pa., Northwest Pa., Maryland, and New York, you will use the new UPMC portal to message your providers and schedule appointments.
  • For providers in Southwest Pa., you will continue using your current portal (MyUPMC or MyCHP) until those providers move to the new portal.

By Spring 2026, all UPMC providers will be available on the new portal, and you’ll be able to manage your care in one place.
