There are no changes to your current portal right now. UPMC will provide detailed next steps when your new portal account is ready.


Understand How the Changes Impact You

If you use MyUPMC, nothing is changing right now. You can keep using MyUPMC as you normally would to access health information, make appointments, message providers, and pay bills.

If you use MyCHP to manage care at UPMC Children’s Hospital or any other Children’s location in Southwest Pa., there are no changes to your portal at this time. You can keep using MyCHP as you normally would.

Do You Also Get Care Outside of Southwest Pa.?


If you currently get UPMC care in Central Pa., Northwest Pa., Maryland, or New York, some of your providers may move to the new portal system in September 2025. Learn more about what patient portal to use to schedule with or message your different providers.

How to Prepare: Confirm Your Contact Information

Over the course of the portal transition, you will receive detailed instructions on how to activate your new portal account. Confirming your email address and phone number allows UPMC to send you important information you need during this time.

If you have proxy access for any other UPMC patients, verify that their email address and phone number are also up to date.
